Bhutan is a small kingdom with three very different regions. Western Bhutan is home to Paro, Thimphu and Punakha and is where most journeys begin. Central Bhutan, around Bumthang and Trongsa, is the spiritual heartland, full of ancient temples and festivals. Eastern Bhutan is remote and rarely visited, known for its weaving villages and warm hospitality.
