Bhutan Trip Cost 2026–27
A Bhutan trip with Drukyul Holidays costs USD 285 per person per day on twin sharing, all-inclusive, plus a one-time USD 120 per person for your visa and monument fees. The daily rate includes Bhutan’s Sustainable Development Fee (SDF), hotels, all meals, a licensed guide and a private vehicle with driver. International flights are extra. Per person = USD 285 × number of days + USD 120 visa and monument fees.
Trekking tours carry a surcharge of USD 100 per person per day. Example: the 6-day Druk Path Trek costs (USD 285 + USD 100) × 6 days + USD 120 = USD 2,430 per person.

What is the Sustainable Development Fee (SDF)?
The SDF is a government fee of USD 100 per adult per night, fixed until 31 August 2027. Children aged 6–11 pay USD 50 per night, children under 6 are free, and Indian nationals pay INR 1,200 per night. It funds Bhutan’s free healthcare, education and conservation, and it is already included in our daily rate.

Travelling from India or Bangladesh?
For Indian nationals the SDF is INR 1,200 per night (fixed through August 2027), so trips cost much less. Indian and Bangladeshi travellers are quoted in INR. See our Bhutan packages from India.
How many days should I plan?

Why not book cheaper?
Unlicensed sellers often hide the SDF or cut guide and hotel quality. Drukyul Holidays is licensed (No. 1030023) and quotes everything upfront, with no hidden fees.
Is there still a minimum daily package?
No. Bhutan’s old USD 200–250 minimum daily package ended in 2022. Today you pay the SDF and visa fee, plus a land package set by your tour operator.
How to pay
Payment is in US dollars before arrival, by Wise or international bank wire transfer. With a wire transfer, the sender pays all bank charges so the full amount reaches us. We send our bank details with your confirmed itinerary.
Delays caused by weather
There is no extra charge from us if flights or roads are delayed by weather, but extra nights, meals and transport during the delay are paid at cost.
