DAY 1- Arrival in Paro

Your Bhutan experience opens with the dramatic flight into Paro valley.

  • Met at Paro Airport with a traditional khadar welcome.
  • Light Paro sightseeing en route as time allows.
  • Transfer to The Happiness Farm.

DAY 2- Dobji Dzong & Farm Day

A full day of Bhutanese culture — fortress history, sacred waters, archery and a hands-on cooking class.

  • Visit historical Dobji Dzong — the prototype for Bhutanese fortresses.
  • Learn the story of its many lives — religious site, penlop residence, central jail, today a monastic school.
  • Hike to the sacred ‘drupchu’ — a holy spring with reputed healing properties.
  • Picnic lunch in the pine forest.
  • Try archery — Bhutan’s national sport — at The Happiness Farm.
  • Bhutanese cooking class before dinner — try ema datshi.
  • Quiet farm evening under the stars.

DAY 3- Discover Thimphu

A full day in Bhutan’s small, walkable capital.

  • Visit the iconic Buddha Dordenma overlooking the city.
  • Visit Takin Preserve — home of Bhutan’s national animal.
  • Visit Simtokha Dzong — the first fortress in Bhutan, built in 1629 by Zhabdrung.
  • Visit the Centenary Farmers’ Market.

DAY 4- Thimphu → Punakha

Cross the spectacular Dochula Pass and descend into the warm Punakha valley

  • Depart early for Dochula Pass — 108 chortens and panoramic Himalayan views.
  • Visit the majestic Punakha Dzong — Bhutan’s most photographed fortress.

DAY 5- Punakha Exploration

A full day of valley adventure — bridges, hikes and river time.

  • Walk Bhutan’s longest suspension bridge.
  • Hike to Khamsum Yuelley Namgyal Chorten.
  • Afternoon white-water rafting on the Pho Chhu.

DAY 6- Punakha → Paro

Return to Paro with farm time at the other end.

  • Drive back to Paro with a lunch stop in Thimphu.
  • Optional Thimphu shopping.
  • Farm tour at The Happiness Farm.
  • Gentle nature hike around the farm.

DAY 7- Excursion to Tiger's Nest

The iconic Tiger’s Nest — one of the most sacred sites in the Himalayas.

  • Early breakfast and drive to the Tiger’s Nest trailhead.
  • Forested hike to Taktsang Monastery (4–5 hours round trip, with lunch).
  • Optional horse ride to the midway café.
  • Optional Paro town shopping in the afternoon.
  • Farewell dinner at The Happiness Farm.

DAY 8- Departure

Tashi Delek — safe travels onward.

  • Leisurely breakfast at the farm.
  • Transfer to Paro International Airport.
  • Farewell from your guide.

Documents Required

  1. Digital copy of your identity document
  • Passport — for all nationalities.
  • Voter ID — for Indian nationals travelling without a passport.
  • Birth certificate — for Indian nationals under 18 without a passport.
    Passport requirements:
  • Valid for at least six months from the intended date of departure from Bhutan.
  • Submitted in JPEG or PNG format.
  1. Passport-size photograph
  • Not older than six months.
  • Colour copy, portrait style, eyes open, forehead & ears clearly visible.
  • White background, no border.

21–30 days before tour start – 25% of tour rate
7–21 days before tour start – 35% of tour rate
After arrival in Bhutan – 100% of tour rate
