Private tours, festivals and treks across the Kingdom of Bhutan, planned and run by a licensed local operator in Thimphu.
Our CSR pledge · One Million Trees
Every journey plants trees in Bhutan
We reinvest 2% of every tour at The Happiness Farm to plant one million trees, offsetting your travel footprint and greening the earth. Want to do more? Join the world’s first Tree Membership: adopt a fruit tree, and we donate its harvest to charity.
A Bhutanese company, not a reseller
Drukyul Holidays is a tour operator based in Semtokha, Thimphu, licensed by Bhutan's Department of Tourism (No. 1030023). We plan private journeys for travellers from around the world: cultural tours, Tshechu festivals, Himalayan treks, Buddhist pilgrimages and farm stays. Every trip includes your visa, the Sustainable Development Fee, a licensed guide, a private vehicle and hand-picked hotels.
Our founder, Dorji Dorji, has spent 26 years guiding and writing about Bhutan. He has hosted official delegations, including members of the US Congress and Senate, and still personally guides selected journeys.

Do I need a tour operator to visit Bhutan?
International visitors book through a licensed Bhutanese tour operator, who arranges the visa, SDF, guide and transport. We are licensed by the Department of Tourism (No. 1030023).
How much is the Sustainable Development Fee?
USD 100 per adult per night, fixed until 31 August 2027. It is already included in our USD 285 daily rate.
When is the best time to visit Bhutan?
March to May and September to November bring clear mountain views and the biggest festivals. December to February is cold but sunny and quiet.
How many days do I need?
Five to seven days covers Paro, Thimphu and Punakha with the Tiger's Nest hike. Allow ten days or more for central Bhutan or a trek.
