DAY 1- Arrival in Paro
Your Bhutan experience begins the moment your flight touches down at Paro International Airport — the country’s only international gateway, framed by pine-clad mountains
- Met by your guide at the airport with a traditional scarf welcome.
- Short transfer through Paro valley with light refreshments and orientation.
- Easy afternoon walk and rest to ease into the altitude.
DAY 2- Discover Thimphu
Spend a full day in Bhutan’s small, walkable capital — temples, markets and the great seated Buddha overlooking the valley.
- After breakfast, drive to Thimphu through the lower valleys.
- Visit the iconic Buddha Dordenma — the great seated Buddha overlooking Thimphu.
- Visit the Takin Preserve, home of Bhutan’s national animal.
- Evening drive back to The Happiness Farm.
- Complimentary herbal bath — a traditional Bhutanese ritual to relax tired muscles.
DAY 3- Excursion to Tiger's Nest
The day every Bhutan traveller waits for — the legendary hike to the cliff-clinging Taktsang Monastery, perched two thousand feet above the valley floor.
- Early breakfast and drive to the Tiger’s Nest trailhead.
- Forested hike up to Taktsang Monastery (round-trip 4–5 hours, with lunch).
- Optional horse ride to the midway cafeteria for those preferring a shorter walk.
- Discover the sacred caves of Guru Rinpoche, the 8th-century saint who arrived, legend says, on the back of a
flying tigress.
- Optional Paro town shopping in the afternoon.
- Farewell dinner at The Happiness Farm.
DAY 4- Departure
Tashi Delek and safe travels — your guide and driver escort you to Paro Airport for your onward flight.
- Leisurely breakfast at The Happiness Farm.
- Transfer to Paro International Airport with time for last photographs of the valley.
- Farewell from your guide at the airport.
Documents Required
- Digital copy of your identity document
- Passport — for all nationalities.
- Voter ID — for Indian nationals travelling without a passport.
- Birth certificate — for Indian nationals under 18 without a passport.
Passport requirements:
- Valid for at least six months from the intended date of departure from Bhutan.
- Submitted in JPEG or PNG format.
- Passport-size photograph
- Not older than six months.
- Colour copy, portrait style, eyes open, forehead & ears clearly visible.
- White background, no border.
