DAY 1- Arrival in Paro
Your Bhutan journey begins as your flight descends through the Himalayas into the Paro valley.
- Met by your guide at the airport with a khadar (scarf) welcome.
- Short transfer to The Happiness Farm with light refreshments.
- Gentle afternoon orientation walk around the farm.
DAY 2- Dobji Dzong & Farm Life
A full day of authentic Bhutanese culture — fortress history, sacred waters and the rhythms of life at the farm.
- Visit historical Dobji Dzong — the prototype for all Bhutanese fortresses, with deep religious and cultural significance.
- Learn about its remarkable history — religious site, penlop residence, central jail, and today a monastic school.
- Hike to the sacred ‘drupchu’ — a holy spring with reputed healing properties.
- Picnic lunch in the surrounding pine forest.
- Optional Bhutanese cooking class — try your hand at the national dish, ema datshi (chillies with cheese).
- Optional fruit-tree adoption or tree-planting at the farm.
- After-dinner fire-pit conversation under the stars.
DAY 3- Discover Thimphu
Bhutan’s small, walkable capital — temples, markets and the great seated Buddha overlooking the valley.
- After breakfast, drive to Thimphu.
- Visit the iconic Buddha Dordenma overlooking the city.
- Visit the Takin Preserve, home of Bhutan’s national animal.
- Free time to walk Thimphu’s main street and craft shops.
DAY 4- Excursion to Tiger's Nest
The legendary hike to the cliff-clinging Taktsang Monastery — one of Bhutan’s holiest sites.
- Drive to the Tiger’s Nest trailhead in Paro.
- Forested hike up to Taktsang Monastery (4–5 hours round trip, with lunch).
- Optional horse ride to the midway cafeteria for those preferring a shorter walk.
- Learn the story of Guru Rinpoche, who arrived on the back of a flying tigress.
- Optional Paro town shopping.
- Farewell dinner at The Happiness Farm.
DAY 5- Departure
Tashi Delek and safe travels — your guide and driver escort you to Paro Airport for your onward flight.
- Leisurely breakfast at The Happiness Farm.
- Transfer to Paro International Airport in good time for departure.
- Farewell from your guide.

- Passport — for all nationalities.
- Voter ID — for Indian nationals travelling without a passport.
- Birth certificate — for Indian nationals under 18 without a passport.
Passport requirements:
- Valid for at least six months from the intended date of departure from Bhutan.
- Submitted in JPEG or PNG format.
- Passport-size photograph
- Not older than six months.
- Colour copy, portrait style, eyes open, forehead & ears clearly visible.
- White background, no border.
